NHS Care

NHS CareWe provide specialist orthodontic advice and treatment on the NHS for children on referral from a General Dental Practitioner.

The treatment is limited to cases with a Dental Health Need and is free of charge. This is available to qualifying patients under 18 years of agewho have a determined need for treatment using the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need assessment tool, are highly motivated and have good dental health and hygiene.

The IOTN is the scale your orthodontist is required to use to assess if you are appropriate for orthodontic treatment:

See what the BRITISH ORTHODONTIC SOCIETY have to say about it:

If you have any queries regarding the qualification criteria please visit

However, if NHS treatment is not suitable, we provide Private Care for all ages offering a number of benefits such as flexible appointment times and Invisible Braces.
